How often do you update MAME and/or ROMS

Donkbaca:

You all realize you can check out the "what's new" section for each release to see what changes are made to which games right?

Generic Eric:

Its usually about a 3 version or more jump. I mostly play donkey kong, pac-man or galaga though.

yeah, but usually it's some random game I never heard of... didn't they just get some shmup that's suppose to be good working? in about the last 2 months?

TAG:

I'll add a new version of MAME every 5 or 10 versions or so, add any new/improved/now-working roms that run on the new version, and keep the older versions of MAME and the roms that run on them.  My base MAME is .119, and I use that for the vast majority of the games.  I just use Mamewah to bring up the correct MAME version and the correct rom.  There aren't that many games added these days that I'm particularly interested in, although everyone's got their own personal preferences.

Gatt:

I update with each full version.

It's less hassal that way,  I point the torrent to my ROMs directory,  pull down the changes and I get the latest and most accurate gameplay.  Now-a-days it's too easy to stay on top of things(Assuming your system's networked),  rather than try and slog through some massive update every couple years.
