ipac-4 issue need help

I am lost and getting frustrated.  I configured my IPac-4 thru CTRL-ALT-P.  But now my keyboard and my joystick and buttons don't do anything when in MA!  Where do I tell MA what buttons are on my CP?  My setup up is close to Delusional's and I have read where he has gotten rid of CTRL, ALT and SPACE, but where do I do that at?  This is getting frustrated.

To make it clearer is why in my ipac-4 is 3P UP mapped the same as 2P SW5.  Wouldn't this conflict with the game when I'm playing?  And if I do remap it, do I have to tell MA what changed?

You use ctrl P to get to the config for maximus.  Select controller and set your buttons for setup 1 and setup 2 and menus.  Of course you will have to setup MAME or whatever other emulators you are using to the buttons that you have chosen to remove ctrl and alt etc.
