"Stoked: The Rise and Fall of Gator"? I had no clue until you mentioned it, so I searched youtube and found it there. Thanks.

I saw the Gator documentary. It was ok.
There is also a really good one about Christian Hosoi.
and my favorite is still Dogtown and Z boys (not that lame Lords of Dogtown)

Yeah those are both fantastic documentaries.  Hosoi's dad really messed him over IMHO.

Tough to narrow it down to just 8 boards, damn FML... Tough to narrow down the era too. I was captivated by skating during the 80's but didnt get too involved until the 90's. Bit of a Vision Street Wear VS Alien Workshop battle royale taking place in my head. Now I am 32, bald, married, employed & chubby so this is all about the appreciation for the board art & nostolgia of the good ol days.

Either era is hard to come by these days without dropping decent coin. 90s stuff comes in some cases of even being able to find the really popular. Way shorter runs of stuff through that time frame. Maybe a couple of hundred in cases if you were lucky. The game of eluding the cease and desist was in high gear. Quite a few of the decks pictured are mine. They're a pleasure to own. With no real intent of them ever leaving. www.wheelbite.com is where most of them are posted. I haen't updated in somtime though. And continue to be on the get.
Watch out on those hangers. Apparently they assume you have to drill out the truck bolt holes to hang. While that maybe not a big deal on something modern. I'm sure as hell not going to run a drill though an 80s deck that I know that there are maybe 3 unsed on the planet to date. No way. No how.
