it was partly a serious question. i eat nestle stuff and wonder if i were told cold hard figures would i stop, i mean i know their marketing has caused major suffering, but as you know i think the same of everyone in big business, they're all c words, and its hard to make ethical decisions even if you want to when surrounded by their values. i've given up trying cos i'm sure everything i do undermines my values somehow, but it is pretty crass that we can know a company has done openly immoral things and we just carry on funding them.

Lol . . . I honestly know nothing about Nestle's evil ways.  They pretty much just sell chocolate chips and baby formula over here.  Their chocolate is crap.  They don't do much marketing in the U.S.

They are guilty of selling dodgy baby formula in third world countries. The formulas they can't sell in the West because they don't meet safety requirements. But I think I'm in your camp- If I were to boycott all the evil  companies, I would starve to death!

So I don't think about it and focus on that delicious battery hen flavoured KFC, while washing it down with my South American stand over merchant Pepsi, and for desert, some baby killing chocolate bars. Then on the way home I'll stop for fuel at a Gulf of Mexico destroying BP service station. At home, a quick checkup of my soul destroying, brain washing facebook and I'm done killing the earth for another day  ;D

polaris:
i'm not sure it was dodgy formula, but that they gave it to people in africa who then stopped lactating and couldn't afford enough formula so diluted it leading to malnutrition, the lack of clean water added to the problems, theyre doing it in india now i understand, but yeah, no one can have values in this world and survive for long
