Finally decided what to do for my second project, first it was a full size cab then a vewlix then a juke then a..... you get the picture. So decided to go down the bartop route again and a Neo Geo just made sense as they are the games my son and I enjoy the most. I won't be in such a rush this time as i still have my original bartop to play, the last one I just wanted to complete so I could start playing as soon as possible.
Anyway I will use MAME to run the games and a stripped out PC for internal components, I already have a 17" monitor I've been saving since I started my last cab.
It will be spray painted red with the Neo Geo logo's sprayed on using stencils.
Still not sure which buttons and joysticks to use but guess I'll worry about that later.
Here is some pics of the full size cardboard template.
and a picture of the completed cab

Malenko:

good start, I got vinyl NeoGeo logos from eccs19 for my 4 slot resto; they were inexpensive and awesome.

Made a start on the wood today, cutting out the sides with my jig and sanding them down also measured out the rest of the pieces but will have to wait till Sunday until I can cut them out because of work commitments  :hissy:

Today I decided to get the hardware up and running. I soldered a kettle lead to the PSU and installed windows. I'm giving Windows 7 a go, seems to work fine on my main computer. The only problem I can envision at the moment is trying to shell windows, has anyone had any problems with this or 7 in general? the only emu I can see myself running is MAME. Decided to use a 19" monitor in the cab this is the 17" I was going to use.
