AC power, volume control, etc on cabinet?

Hmm.  I was wondering if there was something like a reverse outlet.  NEMA 5-15 outlet on the inside, takes a standard heavy gauge power cable on the outside.  I basically want to mount the smartstrip on the inside of the cabinet and plug it into an outlet, and use a mounted MO toggle switch to power on my ATX power supply on the PC, which will then turn on my monitor and audio amp.   Shutting down Windows turns everything off.

The plug on the outside is to simply make it easy to unplug the cable from the wall and/or cabinet.  That way no cable is permanently attached on the outside.

Most of your requested keys are also normal USB-keyboard keys, and can be mapped to any button of say an iPac. I use shift up/down for volume control for example.

I really don't get those.... Why does nobody make USB ports like apple do: that is without bend metal at the edges.
And why do you want USB-ports to look like XLR ports? I'm drunk, I wanna play SingStar and I hammer those mics into your USB ports.... tacky!

OK, this is what I want to do minus the power switch on the inside.  I simply want it hot all the time.  Straight through from outlet to male plug on outside.

For someone who wants to do the least amount of hacking possible, what would I buy to accomplish this?

Erik:

duplex receptacle, outlet box, aforementioned socket from old power supply, a few inches of wire  :dunno
