Anyone need System 11 / F-14 Tomcat parts?
« on: February 02, 2011, 12:55:38 pm »
Hey all!

Well, I'm parting my F-14 Tomcat out. First of all, it has water damage and I'm not good with wood,
I don't have the tools...and the wife HATES the look of the machine.

So, I just gave it a quick power-up. The MPU board says +5V is ok, blanking is OK, and the diag blinks.
The machine doesn't go further than GI and some Galaga sounds right at boot-up. I didn't check fuses or
anything! If my wife comes home now, she won't be able to get in:)

I'm selling the parts. Let me know if you need something! If trade, I really need Xenon sound boards!
Please do NOT buy thinking it'll work 100%. I only know as described above!!

There's boards and also a complete playfield in nice condition.

Must be able to give +5V to the MPU, according to the diode:)

There was nothing on any of the displays!

Without wood, this was damaged!

I cannot test this:

How much for the MPU board? (I assume I can pop my RK roms in there and be good to go).
NO MORE!!

That is correct. Road Kings needs a CPU board from a High Speed, Road Kings, or Grand Lizard.

A system 11a Board will work in Road Kings. I have one in mine.

Here is the info from Pin Repair:

The most flexible CPU board is system11A. The system11A CPU board can be used in any 1986-1990 sys11, sys11b or sys11c game The only exception is if the sys11A CPU board is going into a original sys11 game (High Speed, Road Kings, or Grand Lizard). In this case, connector 1J15 (four pins, .156" molex male header) must be added to the sys11a CPU board (that's all that needs to be done).

Also note that a System 11A board has 3 diagnostic LEDs instead of the segmented LED...it will work fine, but ignore the 3 LEDs if using in a first generation System 11 game.
