Depth of TV area?
« on: January 31, 2011, 03:46:20 pm »
Re: Project Arcade II plans.

Can anyone out there confirm the min depth between the back edge of O and the rear panel M?

Bassically trying to work out if a TV thats 20" deep will fit without modificatins to the standard design.

Thanks,
Mark

For the Ultimate Arcade II plans, I called the company a couple of weeks ago with this same question.  Per the rep (I haven't built mine yet so cannot verify 100%) the dimensions INSIDE are as follows:
Width - 27"
Height - 24.5"
Deep - 20.5"

So based on that the 20" is there, but I imagine it will be tight.  Luck.

Thanks - I think there are potentially some way's the sneak a bit extra room...... like a thinner hardboard back panel, and thinner O & P.

I guess only way to find out is to start building - but few weeks before I start mine.

Does the new Project Arcade book follow the Ultimate Arcade II plans?  Because the original book didn't.

Yes, it does seem to follow the Ultimate Arcade II plans.

The new book uses the Ultimate Arcade II plans, which affects chapters 2 and 6. However, if you prefer the original LuSiD plans, the companion CD has the original chapters 2 and 6 with those plans. :)
