I'm a little confused actually.
I think from a simplicity standpoint your best to create your menu to look like the playchoice screen, then have the gameslist use a font similar to that used on the menu. This way you have one menu, one list, and you scroll it.
You can create lists that you switch between by moving the joystick left and right, you can then name the lists.
This way as you move lists at a certain point on your screen it would say list name.
Be it FAVORITES, ACTION, ETC

What resolution is the PacMan layout? It looks great.

Don't recall the exact resolution of that PACMAN layout to be honest.
I custom create each layout and do so to whatever resolution required.
If you'd like a PACMAN inspired layout lemme know.

I'd probably go for the pac-man one just as it was designed. It's perfect, clean and not too complicated.
I'll e-mail you when I figure out my screen dimensions. I'm re-using an LCD that seems to be a 5:4 ratio. It's more like 14.5 x 12. Still working out the ideal resolution.

I'm certain I have that PACMAN layout saved on my external drive, and I can modify the resolution if needed.
