Hi Mike - cool layouts. I'm just curious, is it possible for Mala to have a "please wait while the game loads" splash screen. If so - how? cheers

Mala has a "Starting" image, It's generally opaque, but you can kind of simulate transparency by clipping a portion of your background image, putting your "Game loading" message on it, and then positioning it precisely in the same spot over the background.
That what I did with my layout.
Actually, the "Bottom corner pixel is the transparent color" thing probably works with that image too. Haven't checked to be sure.

MaLa (I can't recall where, but I know it does exist) has that option.
I know for my DK JR Mame I have a custom load screen, same for my Mario Mame.
I'll take a look when I get home and tell you the exact way to do it, off hand I don't recall.
I do know depending on PC speed you may or may not see it.
I did a custom MK layout with a custom load screen, but the PC was so fast you dont even see the "now loading" screen.
If anyone wants a "now loading" screen with layout I'll do that...no extra charge!
