So other day I was thinking I've done quite a few layouts in my time.
But there are some (IMHO) classics that I am shocked I've never been asked to do.
All be it some are not "arcade" games, they are staples I'm sure of most everyone's
gaming collection.
I thought I would post a list, a top ten if you will. (No real order here)
(1) Super Mario Bros --- this one shocks me! NES classic, Nintendo arcade classic. A true legend
(2) Keeping on the Nintendo train what about Yoshi ? Kirby for that matter ?
(3) Battletoads
(4) TMNT - Turtels in Time. Now I did just do a "general" TMNT theme which I was stoked to do.
But this is a super popular game, a super popular franchise. I thought even with the new CGI movies that TMNT would be all the rage. I'm shocked I've only done one TMNT layout.
(5) Moonwalker
(6) Ghouls 'n Ghosts
(7) Ninja Gaiden
(8) Metal Slug
(9) Final Fight
(10) Soul Calibur/Night Stalkers/Virtua Fighter/Tekken ---- AKA "Fighters"
There are also a few layouts I've done for fun and posted on the MaLa site.
Or layouts that I've done for friends. Games I thought were really popular,
yet I've had no requests.
Bad Dudes - (Did this and put this on the MaLa site)
Final Fight - (Did this for fun...one of my favorite games!)
Narc - (Again a favorite of mine. I think I put this on the MaLa site)
Shinobi/Shadow Dancer - I love these two games. Who doesn't like Ninjas ? I did a Shinobi layout for a buddy. But again no customer requests.
Mortal Kombat - I'm a huge fan of fighters. I did an MK layout for my buddy Lucas. But I can't recall off hand if I've ever had another request. Perhaps I gotta skim thru my layouts.
So with this said, if anyone is looking for any of the above mentioned titles message me and we can work out a deal. I'll check it off the list, you get a sweet layout and a deal. WIN WIN WIN!

Worked on another Ms Pacman layout this week.
No doubt Pacman and Ms Pacman are the most popular of all the layouts I do.
This one again uses the snap images rather than a gameslist.
As mentioned it is a super cool idea if you have a limited list of games on the cabinet.
Thought I would share the custom snap images.
This layout was a ton of fun and is configured with Pacman sound effects.
It was quite a bit of work, but another happy customer in the books !

I wanted to create some new MaLa layouts and make them available to the public.
I do that every now and again to give back to the arcade community.
I think MaLa is an awesome frontend, I'm a HUGE fan and use it on all my cabinets.
I love that I can create a custom skin and suit MaLa to any cabinet I have.
I've had so many amazing customers who have allowed me the chance to create for them.
I love seeing the final images of my layouts installed on the machines.
So many people on this site are so creative and they have the ability and skills to
create some fantastic, truly unique cabinets. I wish that was in my skill set.
(sadly it isn't!)
I think these layouts are a good way to promote myself. I just find that time is
not always on my side, and customer work takes top slot.
With that said, I would like to try and make one or two.
What do you guys wanna see for a theme ?
