Working on some new layouts I will make available should anyone be interested.
I've been working on the layering of images (like in the skin BLUE).
What I mean by that is take my Jake "The Snake" example, the videos and text of the games list are behind Jake. He himself sits on top of the videos.
Looks cool ,but with MaLa's transparency issues it's not as clean as I would like. It's not my work, just the limitation in MaLa itself.
I want to be clear I am by no means putting down MaLa as I think it is one of the best programs I have ever used and can honestly say I love it.
I would never do a project again and not use it, it is simple the best with the best support.
I'm only saying from my design perspective.
Anyway I can make these available for download should anyone be interested.
Custom work also available for $15 and up.

Trying to make some money to pay for a DK restore I'm taking on.
Right now if anyone needs three layouts I will do three custom layouts for $50 !
All layouts will include custom "now loading screen."
I send the PSD file when done, as well as all fonts used.

I was having some issues trying to obtain similar results to blue.
None the less I have figured it out. (was simple really!)
Anyway I'll PM you and we can figure out the modifications you need/want.

All layouts are done to custom size.
You tell me what you want included and I include it.
Be it the marquee, the snap, whatever ! Tell me, I add it.
Designs are sent to you watermarked for approval and payment
required before the non watermarked image (PSD/folder/mll) gets sent.
For what it's worth I complete most designs in 72 hours.
Every customer has been happy, and said even in time saved
my services are worth it.

Just saw this thread. Nice work.
I happened to notice a comment from Sega_mad about doing masked images (like putting screenshots in a round window).
Mala can do that quite easily, but you have to apply masks properly. At one point, I posted my Mala layout to my build thread, but dang if I can't find it now.
If you're still wondering about this, let me know and I can send it to you or help you out with the transparencies.
Finally, Mala won't do masks for videos (so you can't have screenies playing in a circular window for instance), but my plugin, the No18 Engine can. Still a work in progress, but just fyi...
