XBMC available for Apple TV
Samstag:
Holy crap the AppleTV is only $100? It has fewer features than most other network media players so I just assumed apple would be asking at least $200 for it.
For that price and the possibility of running xbmc on it I might buy my first apple product.
BobA:
As far as I know it only allows you to run the software that you want on an Apple product sort of like running Linux on a computer that comes with a MS op system. XBMC in its present config is perfectly legal and extends the capabilities of a product that some makers have obviously crippled.
However that being said, Saint or any Mod please send this post to Hell if required. :dunno :dunno
RayB:
In Canada it's not illegal to jailbreak or back up media you legally own.
Donkbaca:
Everybody knows apple purposely leaked this as a way to sell more apple tvs and get publicity before there annual announcements. Duh
Blanka:
Cool, it's for the little one!
Too bad is does not have composite. I'm one of those idiots who's happy with a 21 inch CRT for television, as it is rock solid, still delivers the best image for regular PAL broadcasts, and environmental friendly as it only uses 45 watt in operation. The Apple TV could have been cool for all console emulators and accidental youtubing, the only stuff I miss from my TV.
