Corner molding piece - what is this?
markronz:
So I am looking forward to my next project. I have a showcase cabinet that I am looking to MAME out. Right now the control panel box is in decent condition, however the corners of the control panel box are held together by some sort of white molding. This is shown in the attached pictures. It appears to hold the corner pieces together. Several of these corner pieces are cracked and in poor condition. Does anyone know where to find something like this? I don't want to rebuild the entire control panel box, unless I need to. So in order to avoid this, I need to find replacement corner pieces for these. Any ideas?
Thanks!

maybe remove the pieces and see if you can get lucky enough to find a manufacturer or a patent number on one.

Those are bassically there to make rounded corners. rather than the manufacturer joining and rounding the wood. I'm not so sure you can find some kind of universal pieces for it.
who originally made the cabinet, maybe you can find them by that. You may have to be creative on this and find another way of making up the corners.
good luck, I hope it works out.
