New issues with Daphne

I remember reading somewhere on the Daphne Wiki that the 1.0 link had to be on.
I do not bother with it any more and use 99x.
Yeah it should work fine with Ubunto once you have it working, and funnily enough very similar to the old Xbox directory wise.
I never tried it myself, but you can get 997 for linux from here.

Thanx for the link, I downloaded it, put it on my machine, loaded up the roms and Mpegs from version 1.0. What do I do from here?
Thanx,
Geo

Grab all the roms from the DLP, and ensure you have all the frame files and just install it like you would on the xbox but make sure the frame files are inside the mpegs.
1.0 specific mpegs might not work as it requires a mechanism from the Daphne 1.0 software to enable it to work.

Ok, I got the roms in place, the text frame files are with the mpegs. Now the folder isn't called Mpeg, but vldp_dl. Would that matter? I have set my Wah!Cade front end to point to daphne-0.99.7. When I launch Wah!Cade and select Daphne, it comes up "Change Me" on the rom listing. I double checked the setup and it is pointing to the right directory. If I try to run daphne directly from the terminal, nothing happens either.
BTW, this is for an Ubuntu Linux application and not the Xbox (I know we talked about that to great extent in another email.
Somehow I must be missing something with the installation. Version 1.0 was much more straightforward. When I go to the Daphne website, they seem to shun any talk of older versions.
Thanx,
Geo

Update:
I had noticed that even with version 99.7 of Daphne, there was talk of a "daphneloader". I know that is how you launch version 1.0, but in version 99.7, there isn't a "daphneloader" in the package. I figured you would only need the daphne executable with the older version. BUT, I don't know.
