Summer Glau, while awesome, is the kiss of death for TV shows. Firefly, Terminator, Dollhouse - at least she didn't end up killing Chuck (even though this might be the last season... OK, I can blame this one on her too...).

+1 on every single point, deleting off my DVR as well! :(

It frightens me that you two decided to watch or not watch something based on OTHERS opinions. The only opinion that counts is your own... watch it yourself for christ's sake!

For me,
I was on the fence already. I'm a comic fan, so I was pretty sure this would be on the side of suck. I also have to convince my wife to watch it. But the comments above on the repetative flashbacks, bad effects, corny but not funny... tilts me towards not bothering.
If it sounded like a televised version of "KickAss!" that would be different, but from what I've heard (here and elsewhere) that doesn't seem to be the case.
I'd be much more likely to give it a 60 minute shot, but not 120. Got too much to do in my basement to prep for my cab!!! :D

Watching it last monday it really reminded me of old shows like "MANTIS" and "The Flash" that used to be on and were sorta cheesy too. I hope the show sticks around. If they get too simple it'll be too cheesy...but on the flipside if they get too complex they'll end up like Heroes and confuse everyone to the point of not watching.

That's craziness. Who has that much time? There's way too much entertainment out there to just go about giving EVERYTHING a chance. Doing so just ensures that you won't have enough time to get to the best of it. You don't have to be absolutely sure about every single thing in life. You have to play the odds and work with probabilities to make the most of life. Time is your most precious resource and the odds are not in favor of the 2 hours you spend watching this drek not being utterly wasted--time that you can never get back, time that could have been spent on something with far far better odds of being time well spent.
