This machine has no sound.

Things to look for?

SirPeale:
I have told you exactly what I know about the machine.  :)  I got an email about it.

This article mentions that a common problem of no sound is a failed voltage regulator on the sound board itself allowing -12V to be passed to some chips that need -5V, causing them to fail as well.
