Billy Mitchell, Steve Wiebe, Hank Chien at the kong off watch video
extendedplayarcade:
Richie and Roy Schildt will be having a little talk tonight live stream on the Richie Knucklez stream tonight at 5pm east coast time.
Disclaimer: Richie Knucklez doesn't have Roy Shiltz Telephone number (Roy is that crazy to have it blocked, I guess in his own mind he is just to much of a celebrity to have his phone listed. I think otherwise) so this coversation is at the mercy of Roy Shiltz calling Richie at 5pm eastern time. The feed will be live at Richie Knucklez Arcade Games on Justin.tv
Not for the faint of heart!
I'll be in the chat room be there and tell a friend or two.
PS thanks for all the support everyone. I been swamped and going to read over the whole forum and see if there is any questions left unansered

Damn it.... I missed most of this interview because of the short notice. Will the audio of the interview be on your site later? It seems Roy did cover most of the stuff he's said before but it at least gave him a platform to explain fully his grievances... but like I say I missed most of it. :banghead:
Roy is correct on one thing for sure... you cannot have the high scores of Missile Command in one score table if players played on different trackball settings. That's just stupid. It's like allowing someone to have a high score in the Donkey Kong chart with extra lives or something. It just would not be allowed.
But if you could get Roy to play MC again and take on Tony Temple in a public head to head that would be awesome (sic)! Don't be too hard on him not playing MC for so long and not having his own machine. Billy used that exact same reason for not doing too well in the Kong Off, but he helped out in many other ways with that event so it wasn't expected of him to win.
The Q/A session after Roy left was pretty good too. As a suggestion next week if Roy phones you again, perhaps you could take some calls on the speaker phone direct to Roy? Love him or loathe him he's a character that competitive gaming should embrace. He sparks debate and interest.
EDIT: Oh and Richie... what the hell is with that ridiculous authorisation code on your website?? I tried to register but I just could not get past that stage. I eventually exceeded the limit to register. I hate those things. Difficult to read those characters on psychedlic green backgrounds. Can't you use something else???

Is the full interview. It is long.
I will look into the forum thing for ya seeing I built the site and set up the forums.
I will see if there is an option to take that code off seeing I was wondering why we don't have more people sign up on our forums.
Thanks for the support and watching. I probably talked to you on the chat. It was a good time

Before the start of the event, Billy did say that he had not play Donkey Kong in nine months. (But he didn't use that as an excuse for not doing better relative to the other players).
And as for Roy. He was never good enough to get his claimed 1.7 million back in 1985 and if was never proven that he did. His own inconsistencies and false statements are the reason his claimed score came under scrutiny in the first place.
The only reason why his score was finally entered back onto the T.G. scoreboard was because of his continuing badgering of Walter Day. Finally through attrition Roy got what he wanted, despite the contradictory positions of players who were involved and present when Roy claimed to get his high score at Johnny Zees in Victoria British Columbia.
The controversy over the Missile Command trackball settings was a late argument started by Roy in an attempt to cheapen Tony Temple's accomplishment, which is why he claimed his so-called score was achieved on a harder trackball setting.
So just before Walter "retired" he he instituted a "pardon" and reinstated Roy's score in an attempt to quiet Roy. He also attempted to make the trackball settings a non issue by making those settings "player's choice".(Even though despite Roy's claim, no one had ever submitted scores on the R8#4=ON setting).
Roy of course would not play Tony Temple on factory default settings(R8#4=OFF) because he simply is not the player Tony is. A now, despite is imaginary score placement on the scoreboard he will not even be in the top three once the most recent submission is verified.
