(another) Space Invaders

Spyridon:
I lightly sanded down part of the back door to remove some of the grime.  I'm hoping I can take this into the paint shop and have them match the paint color.

Spyridon:
Applied a coat of Citristrip to the side.

Wait a few minutes and the paint scrapes right off

Spyridon:
After the Citristrip was scraped off and most of the paint I used the orbital sander to take off what was remaining.

jcroach:
Great work. Looking forward to following your restoration.
RetroACTIVE:
I'll get that serial number as soon as I can remember ( ;D )  There are some subtle diffs between the machines, like your rear doors look to be particle while mine are ply.

Will this be a keeper for you?

I tell you what, this game ended up being one of the coolest games in my collection.  I just love it.  With the Braze kit installed, its a whole heck of a lot of awesome!

Everyone that sees this thing is like "WOW  :o  I didn't know that's what a Space Invaders was like".  With the cab cleaned, new black light and tuned up monitor the thing just twinkles.  I will never let mine go.

Can't wait to see your blue... mine was considerably darker than most.  At first I was a little upset but when I went back to double check the color against the original it was pretty darn close to spot on so... I've made my peace with it.
