Thanks for your replies!

Well, I bought the PCB/Vid Card/HD on Ebay, and they were all supposed to be working... but maybe the board or graphics card is bad?  Is there any way to check this given I can't see anything on the monitor?

Also...  I have a GT 2006 Complete HD coming in the mail.  Does GT2006 Complete use the same PCB?  If the PCB/Vid Card are bad (the one that I already have) and I want to make this work, where is a good place to buy a  Golden Tee compatible PCB/Video Card as a replacement? I don't think I want to buy another one on Ebay.

Just the Complete hard drive alone is not going to give you extra courses. It has to be paired with the motherboard.

I have a spare Green board packed away. I don't remember if I have a spare video card or if I swapped it over to my current machine. I'll take a look tomorrow. Did you try just skipping the video encoder and going straight to the monitor?
If the machine is putting out video, your image should change -either showing you a scrambled out of sync picture or giving you an Out Of Range type message.

www.gatorcade.com has a lot of GT parts. Some of his stuff is too expensive, other stuff is reasonable. Might be worth dropping him an email.

without a matching security chip, just changing to a 2006 hard drive will not work...even then...

there where 2 boards, the green (which you have there) and a red board.  red board and green board drive are supposedly swapable between each other, but i have had some that wouldn't ??different revisions?? i've also tried swapping red board to red board (security chips and all) and it wouldn't work ??again different revisions??? but the security chips are not interchangeable. green and red are different.

Did you ever get this converter to work? I have an image, but it is jumpy and not usable.
