To get past the first boss, stay put a lot, and like said above keep firing while avoiding the main fire of the first tank. You'll keep out of sight of the second one, and it won't fire at you. (Now and then a small tank will pop up out of the bottom, so watch out for that.) The first one will be gone, and then do the same thing with the second one. Pretty easy to finish without using bombs.

I find it best to sit all the way on the bottom at the end of the first level. You can much more accurately move in two directions than four top slip between the fire. The first level you defintely want to get through without using bombs, because it's good for an extra 40-50 thousand points :)
Having said that, I haven't been going so well :(

I dont think I'm in the top 3, but I thought I'd post anyway 232,790
My finger endurance can't handle more than 3-4 games of this.

Made it into level 1-3 after a lot of tries:
280,370
And I still do not give up. :)
Tonight me and my mate are going to work some on his bartop and play it some there too.

Looking at your screenshot, your current score is: 67380.
How can we tell the 293310 score does obey the rule:
Please make sure your scores are from games that take place during the competition period (no posting your best score from last year, etc.).
This is not an attack to ArcadeNerd or something, just wondering.

Thaevil1: good point, but we've been using the honor system for these competitions & have often submitted scores from the high score screen instead of from the actual "Game Over" screen.
I know that, for me, my keyboard is pretty well buried in my cabinet, & I don't like to pull it out to hit F12 every time that I beat my old score. I'll wait a few days or wait until somebody beats my score & then take a screen grab of the high scores list.
That's good enough for me. Others, feel free to chime in if you're concerned about this topic. If this is a concern, we'll have to add another sentence to the first post boiler plate text to specify conditions under which a screen grab needs to be taken.
Thanks,
-Jason
