PC power switch outside cab?

Never seen that before. Nice, but not long enough. If I find out where to buy the 2 pin header connectors I will wire 1 up or I may just buy the Sharkoon remote switch.

You really don't have any old PCs with connectors in them to pillage? Disconnect the hard drive led, hack off the end, and wire that into some long bit of wire. If it's going to be in a cabinet, who cares when the hard drive is being accessed.

I should have spaced out that response more clearly.

I was referring to the existing HD/Power LED in your computer. The first part was more rhetorical. Sorry for the confusion.

you may want to check with a local pc repair shop..more often than not they will have old pc cases or parts lying around and would probably give it to you for free, or really cheap...then just splice in a piece of wire the desired length and attach it to a standard pushbutton
