If your MDF is melamine coated be sure to get a compression bit. These minimize chipping on both sides. If you are doing lots of cutting I'd even spend the extra dough for a solid carbide bit. I get mine from toolstoday.com (roughly $50 each, so don't break them). If you are not cutting melamine, then don't bother with a compression bit. If you are only cutting one arcade and not doing lots of other woodworking just jet a carbide tipped bit. |
