Question about attaching Happ Coin Reject Bezel
(1/1)
Joystick Jerk:
I just bought a set of Happ Coin Reject Bezels and Reject Buttons. I had assumed that they would have come with screws for mounting them, but they did not. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the mounting holes on the bezel don't have any actual threads; they're just plain holes. So how exactly are these things mounted? Do you just use a slightly oversized screw and the screw threads bite into the plastic, or is there some sort of push-in peg that just uses a friction fit? The below exploded view of a Happ coin door shows some sort of mounting screw/peg as part #43-1003-00, but it's so small I can't tell what it is exactly, nor what size it should be. Can anyone shed some light on what I need to attach this?

Nephasth:
If you want to be exact, you might try to search for a HAPP manual/parts list for that coin door/mech or even a manual for an arcade machine that uses that particular coin door that includes a parts list for the cabinet. It looks like there is 2 part numbers for the mounting hardware 43-1003-00 and 48-1000-00, one is probably a washer. If it were me, I would get screws (most likely machine screws even though no threads are present in the holes) with a slightly larger overall diameter like you said to mount these. If it fits, it ships.
Joystick Jerk:
I'm probably going to go that route anways. I was just curious since it seems like an oddly inelegant way to attach something.

I'll probably add some Gorilla Glue to the mix just to make things extra secure.
