| Hyperspin closes when left running while I'm gone |

I posted this question awhile ago. People suggested I try reinstalling hyperspin. I've reimaged my machine, I have a new internal hard drive I'm using (I was using an external drive before) and I reinstalled everything. When I launch Hyperspin, everything works great. If I turn off my windows screen saver so hyperspin will just keep changing games on it's own, it will crash and close by the time I come back and look at it. Hyperspin will be closed and my taskbar is gone. I have to hit ctrl+alt+del and run explorer again to get my start button back. I can't figure out why this is happening. Like I said, new hard drive, new installation of hyperspin, but copied over all the old video files and everything. That's the only thing that's the same. Any ideas? |

Are your power management settings in the control panel set to keep everything always on? It could be shutting down the hard drive or going into sleep mode. |

This isn't an issue with HyperSpin. It sounds like something more specific to your PC. I leave HyperSpin running on my cabinet for days on end without any issues. The only thing I have setup as power management is that my screen turns off after 30 minutes. |

For me hyperspin will run fine maybe 50% of the time Often it will load up missing random wheel arts (just some are missing & its different arts each reboot) or not load all the animations/art at the game menu. Then it will close & never reopen again Then I get a Blue screen with white text about how taskbar needs to close, Then Dr watson pops up & tells me I am screwed Then it reboots itself Then it tells me in another blue screen how its really bad & must check the hard disc for errors Then MS pops up & shows me 3 windows about " recovery from serious errors" & "sending reports" I have a nicely powered & newly built PC which I've done several clean installs with on TWO hard drives. If you figure out the gremlins please let us know, HS is so pretty I just have to get it working right. kjbalto sometimes I think it has to do with not letting the intro video play all the way & or not letting it load the very first theme 100% before scrolling to the next one. |

This can happen if you have files other than .png in your wheel image folder. This can also happen if your file names DO NOT MATCH those file names in the database. I'm running Windows 7 x64 and have no issues with my cabinet or HyperSpin. I can leave my cabinet on for days and not see any issues at all. I think your issues are related to XP or the version of XP you are running. If I recall Dr. Watson was a bug ridden application. Perhaps disabling Dr. Watson might help clear up some of your issues. |
