New Pin Price Check
« on: November 24, 2010, 12:10:39 pm »
There is a place here in KC that has a NIB Avatar and a NIB Ironman.  They are asking $5600 each!  That sounds high to me.  Are other people asking for similar prices?

There's an Ironman here going for $3900.  Not NIB, but mint, with gold trim, cabinet protectors and LED's...

At PinFest Iron Man was $3900 NIB and Avatar was $4600. Is the $5600 the LE version?

The ad didn't say anything about LE.  The ad did say it was in stock.  Have any of the LE machines shipped?

I usually hear that the 'top secret' price on these things is usually $3,600 - $3,800.  It'd be nice if Stern stopped playing games with end user pricing but whatever.
Part of the problem is that lots of distributors aren't stocking them. Customer wants one, they order one, and pay more for shipping than it would cost if they ordered multiple units. The smaller distributors are probably tacking on $200 to $300 ship costs (to them) before adding their own profit margin.
NO MORE!!

Yes.

I usually get them closer to the lower of the two numbers...I did pay $4610 for CSI shipped from Nevada and $4970 for 24...picked that one up in Houston and had to pay tax.

Is it Stern or the distributor setting the price that high?

FYI  NIB IM and AVATAR were selling for $4000 at expo.

Has them on sale: $4399 free shipping.

There are many others as well.  Check stern's website for distributors.
