Also, there are select games on the multiboard that are emulated poorly. Sound being the main issue. So if you're looking for a close to faithful emulation, MAME is the way to go, not the multiboards. |

Isn't the obvious advantage with the xxx-in-1 box that it is equipped with a JAMMA interface? I.e. that you don't need to mess around with keyboard and video interfaces etc. As others already stated, it is a MAME PC but with restrictions in what you can alter. The ones I have used is similar in performance (as long as you play the old classics) even though the CPU and RAM is obsolete compared to a new PC. So, if you can live with the games and frontend that comes with it and prefer a simple and convenient installation - then the xxx-in-1 box is for you. |
