So true.  I always tried to talk my classmates out of their crazy idea that graduation was some kind of light at the end of the tunnel.  College is the high watermark.  It's all downhill from there.  In so many ways.

Mikezilla:
especially in this economy.

When I graduated I thought I was going to be ballin' like P.Diddy or something (it was 2003, OK?).  Instead, I feel lucky every single day just to have a job where they take advantage of me by overworking and underpaying me because they know there's nowhere else to go.  It is rough out there - I know a lot of smart people who are out of work.

The NY bar was not easy (unlike the NJ bar which I didn't even really study for and I knew I passed as soon as I took it).  You should be proud.  Do you have a job lined up?  Are you working at BigLaw?  I was in Manhattan for a bunch of years working at BigLaw and it was not fun.  I was basically getting home at 11 or midnight every night, working weekends, no vacations, etc.  The pay was pretty sweet but I literally had no life.

No job yet.  Currently looking in NY, D.C., and abroad.  I want to work for Biglaw in the beginning because I want to get into Paris (and also eliminate the enormous amount of debt I have).  Multinational firms seem to be my best bet for that.  I have no illusions about it, though.  I've interned with them.  I know the nature of the job.

Eventually I'd like to teach, but I didn't go to Ivy League, so that door is closed for the time being.
