wiimote as a light gun (another try) |

Vigo:
I just got my bluetooth adaptor in, and the wiimote software seems to work great. So far, the only possible solution I can find is to recompile mame to force directinput. Looking back at previous posts to Headkaze from previous posts, can be done with his compiler. This is the only workaround I can think of to get a new version of MAME to read the input like the old versions could. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=96015.msg1012763#msg1012763 The only problem I think would happen that is that it will treat any and all mouse movements as the same thing. If you have a mouse trackball, it will see those movements as the same thing as the lightgun. I don't think it would be a problem in many cases, but I think there would be multiplayer lightgun problems going on with forced directinput. The only other solution I see is finding a driver based Wii Remote utility for the PC, one that will treat the wii remote as a real Bluetooth mouse or bluetooth tablet. It looks like there are some other wii remote utilities out there, like WiinRemote or Glovepie, but I haven't had a chance to test them out. |

So Vigo, you have tested this with Dolphin and it worked with light gun games? Anyone try it with NullDC or even NES for dunk hunt type games :) |

Did anyone get this to work in mame? |
