wiimote as a light gun (another try)

<< < (3/5) > >>

Hoopz:
I bought a Bluetooth dongle at Amazon about 2 years ago.  It cost just $4 or $5 before shipping.  I haven't had any issues with it.

Vigo:
Yeah, they are dirt cheap these days. I'm gonna go buy a usb bluetooth dongle and try this out. Probably not immediately though. If I figure anything out, I'll be sure to post it.

patm95:
This would be a very interesting route if it proves fruitful.  This could give us good controllers that have recoil and at reasonable prices.  Hope it works out!

Valken:
Just a little update:
WiiMouse author has released a new version of his software that supports wiimotion plus. He also releases a special controller type called "namedPipe": If I've understood right it is basically a dll that creates a named pipe server so that applications can connect to it and utilise the WiiMote.
Mybe, in the  future we will see an official mame build with embended wiimote (i.e. lightgun)  support ...
Meanwhile, I've kindly asked the author  to tweak / modify  his software to work properly with mame light gun games.
He said he's working on it...  :applaud: (http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1192317&p=9)

... keep your fingers crossed

JRoz:
Ahh damn, I was all excited for this and already got my hardwired sensor bar in the mail.  Oh well I'll have to use it on my pc and other emulated games for the time being :)
