I suppose it's all up to how much you want it. If having guns on your cab is worth it for you, you will take the time to get it set up correctly. For me it is totally worth it. I haven't started building yet, but I have incorporated guns into my design - gone so far as to have planned some nice looking gun holsters into my cab. I will spend the time to make them work, and from what I hear it's not that big a deal calibrating guns... but then again, installing new hardware in windows is never the same experience for everybody! It's rarely even the same experience twice lol. |

I've had a pair of guns set up for a few years and they generally work fine. I don't think I ran the in-game calibration for anything, but there are a couple games that never worked right (probably related). In my opinion, gun games are definitely worth it...but definitely a pain in the ass to get and keep working. I don't have a trackball, but I imagine it's probably a similar thing (once you have it, you wouldn't be without it). |

It's about priorities. MAME is low down the list. When a plug-n-play solution pops up... I'm in. BTW... I'm hoping the plug-n-play solution includes simple mounting for the light bar as well... I just don't have enough minutes in my day to be dinking around with MAME much any more. --- End quote --- You can't spare 10 minutes? You might need to pull yourself away from byoac a little bit. |
