It won't make you forget Jack Lord's show, but damn this was fun tonight!  Steve Caan and Alex O'Loughlin make a perfect Danno and McGarrett resepectfully.  IMHO they finally got a remake / relaunch just about as perfect as one could ask for.

Grace Park in a bikini didn't hurt either!

I didn't catch it so I will have to find it online.  Steve Caan seems to be getting stronger as an actor.   :applaud:

Grace Park rocks but so does the whole show.   It is on auto record right now.

It's on the DVR.  I'll check it out tonight.  Grace Park is so freaking hot I'd watch a show of her just standing there doing nothing (in a bikini, of course).

I stand very much corrected on the names....think it was over-excitement that the new show doesn't suck (least I'll attribute it to that anyway!)!

Once again, thought last night was incredible...and while y'all are right about Grace Park, there is one potential pitfall they do have and that's making her the show's resident "damsel in distress."  They seemed to go down that road again tonight, and I just hope they pass on it next week....because that part will get old very quick (and it also a) gives her nothing to do, and b) makes the character very weak).

The one-liners between Danno and McGarrett are just incredible....chemistry between O'Loughlin and Caan seem to be just off the chart. Easily the best partners since (Rick) Hunter and (Dee Dee) McCall!

Book 'em Danno seemed a little forced last night.

I can't say much for the plots but the chemistry between the four main actors is really good.  It is a fun show to watch.

I've only seen Steve Caan in roles where he plays a thug or dummy.  This is a good role for him.  He reminds me of his dad at times.

He's pretty good in Entourage... but I supposed you could argue he's a thug and a dummy on that show (he plays an agent).

Last night's episode 3 was the one I'd been waiting for - no terrorists, just basic crime issue (gang warfare).  Best scene is the ganster and the sharks (check it out). God that was hot stuff.  This is a damn fine team of actors and actress.

Other good thing; Grace Park was NOT put in a "damsel in distress" mode tonight.  However, she was a very hot damsel in a fire engine red dress, open enough in front to reveal enough to keep one glued to the screen.

Negative: I gotta agree with you Hyper - last week "Book 'em, Danno," felt forced, and this week it semed totally out of place....was played for humor and it just really bombed.  Must as with not overusing Park as a damsel in distress, they also need to relax about feeling McGarrett has to say that in EVERY episode.  Nevertheless, I still place this one as my favorite episode so far.

BobA is right, the finale with references to Five-0's origins were good - and during scenes from next week, there was a clip of Park's character walking up to a crime scene, flashes her badge, and says "Five-0."  This thing just appears to be gaining steam week to week.  Said it before, it won't make you forget the original, but for ONCE (unline Bionic Woman, et. al), they appear to have gotten the remake /reboot right enough that  - on it's own - is a damn fine show.

Unless I missed the catchphrase at the end, the only time I heard him say Danno was to mildly mock him while at the precinct or wherever, and it wasn't preceded by "book 'em".  It sounded natural.  Sounded like ordinary banter between two guys.

It was a decent episode last night.
