Pool players? (Billiards)
Benevolance:
Speaking of virtual pool, did anyone else here play (video) on the NES? I remember enjoying that game a lot as a kid. Especially turning the friction down to 1 or 2, and hoping the cue ball stayed out.

And I did it again. I had a possible 50 and lost my last game and ended with a 47. I really hate that. (Again...not that 47 is bad but still.)

You know it's funny to hear people talk about how they would love to have a pool table of their own. When I was growing up my Dad thought it would be great to have a table so he could teach his boys how to shoot pool. I remember playing when we had friends or family over, other wise the cover was on the table and my mom used it to air dry laundry. To this day I still suck, as do my brothers, and my Dad still never plays. Amazingly the table has been re-felted once in 30 years and still looks amazing!!! The re-felting was because my parents moved not that the felt was worn :dunno
If you have the disposable income and room to spare go ahead. Other wise go to the local pool hall. It costs less, there's an opportunity to play with new people who will present new challenges, and when you get tired of playing you don't have those huge slabs of slate to get rid of.
Just my 2 cents.

Is that an in house league? I'm not familiar with too many leagues that score 8 ball with point per ball.
J_K_M_A_N:
It is an in house league. Not sure if it is unusual though. I have never played anywhere else before. :P
