JazBrown:

Yeah I know!

I totally blew it by painting over that gorgeous custom side art!

Those sides were a complete pain! whatever it was, they did it in latex and latex just softens and balls up when you sand it so I spent a hell of a lot of time getting it off before I could even think about patching, priming, sanding and finishing.

thanks for the kind words all!

JazBrown:

Oh!
Also something I wanted to pass along. The lighter black areas there (front panel and inside the cowl) were really rough and I was having a hell of a time getting a really nice and smooth finish.

Sooooo I went down to the local hardware store looking for an easy solution and I found it!

This stuff here
http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion_for_plastic_textured_shimmer/

The fact that its textured really helped cover and hide imperfections and it's also a very fine metal flake. Two coats of that stuff and two coats of clear to smooth it out a bit and I was very happy with the outcome.

I recommend it for anyone who is too lazy to get an area down to perfect.

I wouldn't do a whole cab with it myself but that is just personal preference.
