Sega Naomi Cab for Mame - anyone have one?
badgerjohn:
Hi all, have recently completed my first mame cabinet but also wanted to look at doing another for a friend converting a Naomi cab this time. Just wondered how many people have done this?
Had a few more specific questions too:
1) How easy would it be to paint or re-colour using another method such as vinyl? Never really dealt with plastic before
2) If there are scratches, knocks or even worse someone's carved the panel with initials or something, how easy would this be to repair/recover?
If anyone does have a Naomi cab with mame or a customised cab I'd love to see some pics!

I have three Naomi's myself. One stand up and two sit downs. I have an ongoing thread on them [here]
Your only real option to change the colour is to spray paint it. Vinyl etc is not really an option.
You should be able to fill scratches etc with filler before re-spraying, either by rattle can or professionally.
If you wanted you could also get the base and other metal parts power coated.
Have you bought one already or just looking to get one?
Edit: Cheers BadMouth.

Yeah I have seen vinyl die work well on some Candy cabs. I'm not sure how well it would work with filled/repaired bodywork though.
