Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks and more (Honolulu, HI)
« on: September 23, 2010, 02:04:32 pm »

UNIVERSAL PLATES ARE IN!

HOWLER KITS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PRESALE!!!
A great board from the great north, no more need for separate LED and input boards, the HOWLER is an all in one solution that is LED Blinky compatible!
Scheduled to ship later this month.

Boards available in complete kits with everything you need to get your panel up and going, or as individual boards.

What is Paradise Arcade about?
1) Collaboration, we work to contribute by reaching out to vendors and members to help develop and provide support to develop new products.
2) Contribution, we do more than resell products we look to fill needs in the community.  Beyond the community we have donated over a dozen cabinets to local churches and youth groups, as well as given over 5000 dollars since we started 4 years ago to various charities and community forums.
3) Cost, not only do we offer some of the best prices but with flat rate shipping we offer 2-3 day delivery at some of the best rates.  Think this isn't possible from Hawaii? Because we use flat rate instead of weight for calculation our priority shipping rates are as cheap as you can get!
4) Support, We believe it is our responsibility to not only sell, but to understand our products.  We offer direct technical support on ALL our products.  We believe that by understanding what we sell, we can understand better what to sell, and what new products to create!
5) Passion, Arcade parts are not something we do from 9-5, it is something that we live 24-7.  We not only sell but I have installed every part in our shop at least once.  From working on my Warlords cocktail to helping with a new Mame build, this is much more than a business.

Hey with the translucent IL buttons do you have any images of the colors?  The previous green translucent's from happ were a pretty crappy dark green.

Unfortunately the colors of the green IL are the same, however, we have added this very fun item to our offerings!
Please note that this is a Zippyy joystick, we are producing these on the Paradise "pink top" joysticks:

Hahaha, no I'm lacking coffee! I redid the whole post and forgot the website :( lol.  We are still working to get everything up on the website(we added over 50 products in the last week and have taken over 400 pictures), if there is something you want that you don't see let us know, we'll get it up quickly.

Hi guys,
Just to say I ordered 2 led balltop joysticks from Paradsie Arcade shop and Bryan was extremely helpful.
I am still a novice on this stuff and Bryan helped me out with what I needed.
I am in Ireland so ordering from the states and surrounding areas is always a nightmare on shipping charges but I was pleasantly surprised with Bryans quote.
I will report back once the sticks arrive.
Cheers.

I think they would be great for trackballs, the solid colors are available for purchase now, the RGB boards are available for sample, but we are waiting for the next version to start selling.  We currently have them with the anode and cathode opposite of what it needs to be for most standard controllers, which will be remedied in a few weeks.

Thank you for the orders and look for more products in the very near future.

Thanks.

Do you have any more information i.e. video output (CGA/VGA etc), interface for spinner?, do they only work in Jamma powered cabs or can you use them in a PC based cab with ATX PSU similar to the 60in1 etc boards?

Do they have a menu system? Can you change the DIPs on each game. Do they save high scores?

Do you know what the games play like? How accurate are they compared to the originals?

I have a few of the boards listed as seperate PCBs but I'm tempted to pick one of these up if they are decent.

Hmmmmm should be 6x10mm threading so... you are either a few to many beers into the weekend or there is a prob with the threading.  Hit me with an email so I can get one out priority today. Keep the piece and I will include a return envelope so I can see and deal with the issue. Mahalo

Thanks for the reply Bryan.

FWIW, the Seimistu/Sanwa shaft thread is M6x1mm pitch. If the balltop isn't fitting that particular shaft then I image the thread is out of tolerance, I would suggest getting QA done on the shafts at manufacture or at least try to screw a balltop on them before they are sent out. You may also want to check other critical dimensions like the lower shaft diameter.

As Donkbaca  said, some fo your links seem to be a bit funky.

This is an example of one of your links, they all seem to have the same incorrect structure:

http://"http//www.paradisearcadeshop.com/24-arcade-controller-to-usb.html%22

It should read:

http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/24-arcade-controller-to-usb.html%22

Hope that helps.

Thanks, I figured it was something with formatting but was going to get into it and edit the whole listing tomorrow...
I will make sure to fix it when I dig in  :)

I appreciate the QA comments this is a really important part of this business.  Before my career change part of my responsibilities was oversight of repairs and a manufacturing line, so I take QA very seriously.

Our typical policy is 100% testing of a first run, and then sampling on subsequent runs.  Sampling rate goes down if we have no failures consistently, but once we have a failure, we usually revert to 100% testing for QA.  While we trust our vendors to do their own QA, we manage that aspect internally.  What this means is that for at least the rest of this run and the next run, all titanium shafts will be tested for proper threading before shipping.  If the rest of these two runs have no problems, we will revert to sampling.

Our policy is also very simple at the customer end, if it's broken, then contact us 95% of the time we will replace it without any issues, 5% of the time we find someone connects 110V to a 5 volt power connection, runs 12V on 5V LEDs or something like that, and most of the time, we just replace it anyways.  We really do see this as a collaborative effort, running our business with happy customers is easier, and more fun.  This is something we do because both Susan and I really do enjoy arcade machines.  If it's not fun(at least most of the time) why do it?  So enjoy the parts, keep the comments coming and look for some new stuff in the next 2 weeks, we have some AWESOME wiring harenesses, some really cool ball tops, and a few other surprises in the near future!

Got my pack of black happ buttons AND 3 pieces of chocolate. Which I had to share with my 3 year old son, as he is the guy unpacking all the parcels I bring him  :D

You guys do a great job!
The shipping was fast also. I ordered stuff from 4 different vendors at the same date, and yours came first (which was odd, since others are closer geographicly).
