I'm glad to see that people are finding this game just as cheap and scum-like as I always have. But for some ungodly reason, I keep coming back and I think that at least 1 or 2 of you will end up doing the same.

Keep em coming.

I find your vehemency towards Karnov interesting! It seems to me like many platformers- you learn when to move, when to shoot etc and once you're good (not that I ever get that good!) you can do it blindfolded! Anyway, this is one of those games I tried a bit and then forgot about, and I'm so glad it's the 52nd competition subject as it has compelled me to learn more about it.
Funnily enough, I've started my scores from scratch and I've only once gotten into the 70's range. plenty of 60's. I have been practicing on my GP2X too while waiting for my burger and chips at the corner store. for a short time, THAT had my highest score at 69,700! Less carpal happening with the handheld methinks  :D

I shall rain down pwnage upon this thread before October 4th.

I thought I was the only one who actually liked this game despite it's difficulty.

If I remember correctly from my NES version of this back in the day if you pressed down+b on controller two it would end the life of whoever was playing with controller one.

hopefully I'll have my complete rom set this week.

When I was little, I didn't count my pocket money in dollars.  I counted it in how many Karnov credits it would buy.

At some point I bought the cab, although it was the Japanese version.  The US version is slightly different - more hidden bonuses and you keep your firepower after using a special weapon, but monsters appear if you dally.  This is the first time I've had a serious shot at the US version.  Finished it first go, which makes me wonder if MAME is emulating the Japanese version correctly.  I've never beaten the final boss with the Japanese romset, but I was able to with the Japanese cab.

INP recorded with MAME v129.
