Just saw my brother's dog die... An image I'll never get out of my head

It's not a piece of furniture or lost cell phone.  When and if they are to get another dog should be up to the family of the deceased pet.

Yup.  A very personal decision.  Took us over a year last time.

Now, maybe.  If he cared about the dog, those feelings of sadness creep up on you at odd times.  Even years later.

About 6 months ago I was driving home at night on a street with a 55mph speed limit.  The road was pretty empty with the exception of a van probably 50 yards ahead of me (pretty far ahead, not sure exactly the distance).  I watched as a small dog (possibly a coyote, but I'm not sure) walked out into the middle of the road and do the deer in headlights thing as the van plowed right through him without slowing down or hesitation.  When I drove past the dog I could see he was in multiple pieces, so there was no chance he was still suffering.

I then managed to pull next to the van at the next traffic light when I looked over I see younger girl (possibly early 20's) texting away on her phone.  I'm fairly certain she had no idea what just happened and was simply wondering what that bump in the road was.  I'm not a violence person by any means, but thats the closest I've ever come to getting out of my car and screaming like crazy person at another car.

Wow... texting? What a bee-otch. Imagine a different scenario: What would have happened if she killed a person? Pff women these days.

Would it make it better if it was a guy texting? I see both sexes doing that, all the time. I see a lot of tradesmen texting or talking on their phones while driving, even semi drivers!
