I know that the Tron parts and boards are going to cost much more than a Gorf. Would it be wrong to restore to a Tron instead of going back to Gorf? --- End quote --- Close cabinet but not the same. The Gorf cabinet sides stick out, Tron does not. Nice Score! :applaud: --- End quote --- Well, alrighty then... that answers that question. Gorf it is! |

I had a Gorf cabinet that I had planned to MAME a while back, but then decided to sell instead to someone who was going to restore it. I didn't have the heart to MAME it. It was in nice shape too. It was just missing the monitor and gameboards. So good choice! Don't MAME it! D |

The Joystick is busted and the trigger doesn't seem to work quite well. Gorf also has lights on the bezel that shows the level. I need to find/make a wire harness for that if possible, the monitor fades in and out from a little color screen to nothing but white. I'm assuming that a cap kit will fix this. I'm guessing about $300 and a little bit of work would get this back to a nice looking Gorf. |
