I never thought of it as First Blood. Thought it might have been a tad early for CGI ;D

I'll admit I was going to attempt to string you along, perhaps even suggesting they did the effects on a Commodore 64. ;)

The best lies are those closest to the truth. If you had transposed how the did TRON special effects to your story, I might have gotten sucked in. Although of course, a few seconds with some fake blood beats weeks or months (back then) of generating seperate stills and then filming them...
My prediction for Expendables II: First blood contact revenge man, is that it will bring the total profit of the series back down to zero, or less ;D
The novelty was in the first.

Yup. Couldnt agree with you more. Oh well, we shall see. There isnt really anything coming out on the horizon that looks that interesting. Kind of a bummer cause I love movies.
ChadTower:
The stupid thing is that they killed off the guy with the most untapped potential in that whole group. Steve Austin did a great job in The Condemned. I think Hollywood is learning the WWE is a world class training ground for action stars and the occasional crossover star (The Rock).
I agree with pretty much everything above. The movie just wasn't that well made or written. I grew up addicted to these guys' movies and this one was as bad as the worst any of them made.
My biggest issue with this movie is that if they had tried they could have gotten an epic fight scene out of Randy Couture and Steve Austin. They just didn't bother.
I'd pay $20 to see the sequel if it has Roddy Piper in it.
