Yup. If you check the pic you can see the badge on the side. It's quite an increase over last years GT (100 hp increase)

The V6 this year makes almost as much hp as last years V8 GT

Ahh memories... of when I was young, single, and had not a care in the world... and a Mustang.

Congrats on the purchase, dude. Just don't ---fudgesicle--- it up by crashing it into a brick wall like I did.

Heh,... that's the best part. I'm old enough to appreciate it, married with 3 kids. I still can't believe I talked my wife into letting me get this car. Kinda feels like I got away with something!

And a big HELL NO to this being my son's first car in 8 years!

Rick:
This looks a lot like my first (and only) Mustang, which was my second car.

Subtract the black stripe on the hood, the 5.0 on the side, and the Hellas, and that would be mine.  All 4 cylinders of her.  Seriously, I loved that car, and would happily buy the same car again...  Same 4 cylinders, same blue vinyl seats, same no AC.

I actually walked in to the dealership, and the car was there for $5,000.  I was about 19 at the time, and couldn't afford to buy it with the job I had.  The Salesman walked over, said, "if you buy the car from me - today - I'll give it to you for $2,000."  My Dad and I were floored.  There MUST have been something wrong.  We took it around the block, and it drove strong.  The mileage was pretty low, somewhere around 30,000Kms.  We didn't have the time to take it to my Dad's friend, who was a mechanic, so we signed up then and there.  The Salesman said he had to get it cleaned up and ready, and that I could come back the next day.

My Dad and I went back to the Dealership with our paperwork to pick up the car, and found that it was NOT cleaned up.  The Sales MANAGER came out, and said, "Sorry 'bout this, but I can't sell you the car at the price the Sales Guy quoted."  He went on, quite confident with himself about his story, and continued, "He quit on my yesterday night, and sold a BUNCH of cars lower than my cost."  Overall, he was giving me the "used car salesman" vibe, all slick and smarmy.  I was NOT impressed.

I looked him right in the eye, and said, "I have THIS PIECE OF PAPER which says otherwise.  It's a bill of sale, and it's signed.  I've left my deposit, and I'm here to pick up my car."

He sighed, knew he couldn't do anything about it, and got MY CAR ready for me.  My Dad was proud, as was I.

I own a 2003 Kio Rio RS in blue, and a 1993 Dodge Dakota in black, green, teal, brown and red [seriously, this is a factory paint job]. Yup, my cars are ugly pieces of junk.

I am jealous.
