When you buy the circular, you get a 4/8 way with it, which means you have to buy two sets. Kinda pricey, but worth it. The 8-way is too restrictive to me, at least, but only because I'm used to the round feeling of the circular (awesome for games like Robotron and Sinistar). |

Just another opinion on the 360 restrictors for you. The standard feel (with no plates) is buttery smooth, but as Ginsu indicates, the throw feels way to long (to the point where you think you could snap it off it you really pushed hard. I've got the circular and 4/8 way plates, and I am (for now) using the 4/8 way so I can occasionally flip it to dedicated 4-way for a DK session, etc. I'll admit the throw feels a little restrictive in comparison to having no plate in there, but you get used to it. I now like the short throw, works great for SF2, etc. |

Oh and +1 for the stiff springs. |

I can't imagine these sticks with no restrictor AND long shafts! |

Standard - I actually didn't think you could get long shafts for these....I remember asking about it when I was going to bottom mount them. |
