First thing I thought was Ikea too :) It's ok, I guess but the screen's too small on those units, they don't really blend in, yet they don't look like a traditional arcade cab either, so they just kinda stick out, in the wrong way, if you ask me. |

Cabinet design is unique, looks like furniture. I can picture those in a kitchen blending in with counters and appliance. But the tiny LCD screen and X-Arcade sticks gotta go. I'd still stick to a retro, traditional design over a modern design anyway. |

I agree with everyone on this thread pretty much I am more a traditional kinda guy myself. The Ikea comment was dead on LOL  They really though to me look like left over mall kiosk find it kind of hard to believe they would make a the curves and add the nice speakers then go cheap on the stick and the screen. How hard would it have been to transfer over the x-arcade stuff over to a matching top if you didnt want to mess buying the parts individually, and the small screen I guess was the cheapest they had access to. Just one of those things that make you go hmmmmm |

Just for fun I pulled the dimensions of a 32" LCD-LED TV (Sharp AQUOS 32" 1080p 120Hz LED - LCD HDTV LC-32LE700UN) and roughly sketched up the kiosk in my cad program of choice. With a 32" wide screen it feels a little chunky.. but I do kind of like the design.. |

Would it need to be a 32? Maybe a 26" would be a better fit. I'll admit it's growing on me a little over the past day. Definitely not authentic, but does have a retro future feel that I'm attracted to. Definitely ditch the Xarcade, but I could see it working where other cabs might not... Shame he doesn't list the price |
