The Lumberjackass:

ive decided to put off changing the fans for now.
ive only just completed this build in the last 3 days so i think i'll leave it for awhile and then come back to it.
because as it stands, im wasting too much time on hardware and letting the project slip behind schedule.
i was supposed to have the final video of this build posted last monday on youtube

anyways, thanks for the replies guys :)

I know you've given up, but I just found one of these sitting on my desk under a bunch of other parts:

It's 4 pin/4 wire.

Just wanted to share.

From what I've read looking at these Dell 4 pin fans, the BIOS flags that error message if it detects sub 1300rpm speed.

Btw, I also read on some models of Dell that turning off the 'error on no keyboard' message in the bios would also disable that error message. Would be worth giving it a shot.

remove the fan piece not break them off (unless you dremeled them down)  I was trying to give him an option that kept them there.  I'd just replace them all with 3 pin fans and turn off the error message (or at least live with it, better then a loud PC imo) if it were me.
