replacement 4pin fans for dell pc's ??

Good luck. When I was researching the same for my dell (which is a 3 pin), folks who spliced in said the fan itself turned out to be so proprietary that the BIOS still reported errors. :dunno

the reason there was errors is because the bios needs to sense that the fan is running at a certain rpm range.
get this wrong and it'll cause glitches. most reasons is because people dont look at what they are buying. they just see a product
and expect it to work , so splicing in a fan that has a different voltage rating or rpm range wont cut the mustard.
thats why i was asking here does anyone know of true 4 pin fans , or where to get them , so i could check out and see which one would suit.
but no worries , i'll figure something out.
