Mortal Kombat 2 - Cmos chip U49 bad

Hello Friends,

i have buy yesterday a MK2 pcb, yesterday i havent problems with it. Today i have cmos U49 bad. I cant play. See the foto and movie. What is the problem, what can i do?

I'd start by checking the onboard battery for the CMOS. (3volt 2032 or 2025 I believe)

Or change the physical dipswitch settings for the Coinage.
(Bank 2, SW1 OFF)

like kevin said, change it to use dip instead of CMOS, its the free-est easiest fix. After you do that, let us know if you can play.  The game over screen is a hilarious slap to the face.
