Meh . . . nobody's gonna be dying from Alzheimer's 30 years from now.  I don't know about progress on Parkinson's.

What's odd is that research that was done before (outside the US) also indicated that smoking doubles the risk of Alsheimer's by two.

Still the chance of becoming 80 or older is a lot less likely for smokers than non-snokers. Makes sense you won't have many smokers in the over 80 group.
