Selling my WCS94
Jeff AMN:
I normally keep games longer than this, and WCS is always a game I've liked, but after getting a good deal on one and doing a full restoration on it (this went WELL beyond shopping it out), I started playing it and it just became too easy. Even with tough rules, I was reaching the final match in nearly every game. I guess I'm just not a John Popadiuk kind of player, as I've had the same experiences with TOTAN and ToM (TOTAN I completed my first time ever playing it). I still like the game, but it's more the type of title that I think I just need to play a little here and there rather than have in my permanent collection. I'll probably miss it a bit, but the good news is that I'm selling it to a close friend who only lives a couple of miles away. I'll still have access to the machine, so I can always scratch the itch to play should it arise.
The game will always have a fun connection to others in my collection, however. The same day I got this one, I also picked up an AFM and a Spider-Man. The latter two will be staying for the long run, but WCS is moving out and I'll be putting a TSPP in the gap it leaves soon.
Still, it's not my shortest time owning a machine. I had The Getaway for 4 days and Fish Tales for about the same time. I got offers on both I simply couldn't leave behind, so off they went.
Jeff AMN:
Heh, that is the toughest shot in the game, but even with that it wasn't hard enough to progress through the matches.

WCS '94 is a unique game. Something different. I think you really need to reconsider sending it on its way. Most games that seem challenging before you own them often become easy after you own them. SO WHAT! I see nothing wrong with defeating GERMANY twice or three times in one game? Do I hear four times?
I had played the game extensively before I got one and I love it even more now that I own it.
I bought a repro soccer ball from MARCO for $80 and it is so pretty I haven't been able to install it because I don't want to dirty it. How sick is that?
WCS '94 is a top ten WMS Industries game. TEN TIMES BETTER THAN addams family.
smartbomb2084:
I like it whenever I post something pinballmoran just HAS to disagree. SWEET!
Jeff AMN:
You can still get original balls from Gene Cunningham. They're balls that are not repros, and somehow they haven't yellowed. I put one in my machine, and the grip on it is incredible. After quite a bit of play the print is strong on there. He sells them at expos from his personal collection, not through Illinois Pinball. That's also how I got a full NOS plastics set. As far as I know, you can't get a complete set anywhere else at this time.
Anyway, about the machine...I'm selling it to a friend, so I can still play it once in a while. I'm pretty happy about that. Otherwise, I'd probably be giving it more time.
