I saw them live in '98. It was at a festival made up of a mostly nobodies, but they had a good set.

Is your CEP licensed to Peter Quistgard? lol. Don't let anyone tell you what software you *should* be using. It's all the same, if you are going to upgrade to something newer I'd say try a few and pick what makes you the most productive. What matters most is your outboard gear - source, microphone, preamp, a/d converters. And of course the weakest link will probably always be your recording space itself. I'm just about done my renovations [gutted the bottom half of my house] and it's gonna be amazing. I just have the live room finished right now but I'm itching to finish the control room.

Nice! I use Yamaha DTXplorer midi drums and run samples for quick demos, but for the good stuff I lay down beats on my fancy DW drum kit - well, I do the mics and the recording and let a good drummer do it.
