Are there many musicians here?
DrumAnBass:
Used to be a quasi-pro drummer in the 90s (some would argue if drummers count as musicians ;D ) Played in a bunch of bands, never made enough to quit my day job however. Was in the "house band" for one of the worst shows ever on MTV which will remain nameless! Opened for Dandy Warhols, Moby, Ben Harper and a bunch of others I can't think of... Most of this was just being at the right place at the right time. I studied under Joe Satriani's drummer, Jeff Campitelli, as a kid. He just happened to teach at the local music store in the small town I grew up in.
I make electronic music on my own, but never have the time anymore... Oh well, life moves on!

I see what you did there. :lol
Silas (son of Silas):
Drummer at heart, but harmonica player these days.
Had drum lessons twice a week for about 4 years then reached the point where I felt I wasn't getting enough from the lessons to justify them, then carried on playing for another couple of years until arthritis called an end to it. I've still got my kit, but it's in storage.
I took up blowing the harp instead, although I really miss drumming.
Benevolance:
+1 fan of ocremix.org here
I did piano, saxophones and vocals for a lot of years. Mostly classical and jazz, but I especially loved jazz. But when I moved into the townhouse four years ago, my piano wouldn't fit. It's sitting at my parent's place until I can buy a house.
Now instead of real music, I play a lot of Rock Band 2. Plastic guitars count as instruments, right?
Mikezilla:
Hey LT,
Well, I like bands that kind of sound like that, but not really THOSE particular bands. I cant get over the lead singer's vox in Kataklysm. Drives me nuts. I like Dimmu Borgir, Old Mans Child, Iced Earth, even some power metal such as Gamma Ray and Stratovarious. They sing about stupid stuff, but man they are fast! I also like some new bands called Caliban, and As Blood Runs Black. Try those guys if you like the heavier stuff. Children of Bodom is also a classic, there is a band I just got into called Abigail Williams, they rock pretty hard too. The new FF is good huh? Man, I cant even remember the names of those albums that I like, but one has edgecrusher on it, and the other has new breed...I cant believe I forgot the names of those damn records! :banghead:
